The Warrior's Way Blu-Ray Review

Synopsis: The world's greatest swordsman abandons his warrior clan to start a new life in the American Badlands in "The Warrior's Way", a visually dazzling modern martial arts adventure with stunningly choreographed fight sequences and gravity-defying stunts. In an original, gorgeously realized journey into a mythical past, writer and director Sngmoo Lee seamlessly marries the cinematic traditions of East and West. Korean superstar Jang Dong Gun, Kate Bosworth, Danny Huston and Academy Award(R) winner Geoffrey Rush star in this epic story of revenge and redemption.

Review: The modern martial arts film goes in a few directions, one of those is the artistic and romantic angles.  These types of film are absolutely riveting..movies like Hero and House of Flying Daggers.  In a similar vein the Warrior's Way is an artistic and light-hearted romantic action film.  The plot is a bit cliche and even silly at times, but the action is there and the development moves along nicely.  If you enjoy light-hearted and fun action films, like Sucker Punch and Kill Bill, then this one is for you!

Interest Range: Martial Arts
