Resident Evil: Retribution 3D (Two-Disc Combo: Blu-ray + UltraViolet Digital Copy) Review

Synopsis: The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus is spreading across the globe, transforming ordinary people into legions of undead. Headed for extinction, the human race has just one hope: Alice (Milla Jovovich). She’s on a mission, fighting her way through cities and across continents, all inside Umbrella's prime research facility. Old friends become new enemies as she battles to escape and discovers that everything that she believes may not even be true.

Review: I love zombie flicks..and I loved the Resident Evil video games on Playstation back in the 90s.  I wasn't impressed with the first two Resident Evil films, but I really dug 3 and 4, so I figured I'd really be into this one, as well.   There were aspects of this film that were fun, but overall I was rather disappointed on every level.  The story just fell flat, the action wasn't that great and the film just kinda drug along.   If you're hardcore into Resident Evil, I'm certain that you'll dig it and the 3D aspect is wonderful.

The special features on this blu-ray include: Project Alice: The Interactive Database, Commentary with Writer/Director Paul W.S. Anderson, Milla Jovovich and Boris Kodjoe, Commentary with Writer/Director Paul W.S. Anderson and Producer Jeremy Bolt, Outtakes (2D), Maestro of Evil: Directing Resident Evil: Retribution, Evolving Alice, Resident Evil: Reunion, Into the Lion's Den, Featurettes Drop (Un) Dead: The Creatures of Retribution, Resident Stuntman, Code: Mika and Resident Evil: Retribution - Face of the Fan.

Interest Range: Sci-Fi, Horror
