Breathtaking in scope and scale, The Bible features powerful performances, exotic locales and dazzling visual effects that breathe spectacular life into the dramatic tales of faith and courage from Genesis through Revelation. This historic television event is sure to entertain and inspire the whole family

Review: To begin with, full disclosure..I grew up in a very strict Christian household, but I am no longer religious.  That being said, I feel that I can give a very impartial review of the material and production quality of this program without the interference of beliefs.  The History Channel doesn't air poor quality programming, and the Bible is no exception.  The production value on this show is astounding.  One of the things that was severly lacking in the Christian community growing up was well produced entertainment.  Everything biblical was always quite out of date or extremely lame or both.  The music..the movies...the shows..everything.  This, on the other hand, finally gives us an up to date, modern and entertaining take on the stories of the bible.  This is something Christians desperately were in need of, and therefore should be a no-brainer for them all!  Great quality special.

Interest Range: Drama, Religious
