If the new Deadpool trailer didn't make you laugh then we can't be friends!

The title says it all folks.  Its the very same declaration that I made to my own personal friends list on Facebook.  I posted the new Deadpool trailer and issued up the challenge.  Low and behold, I haven't lost any friends yet.  I must have done a good job in selecting my online pals...that or they just ignore me.

The trailer is definitely NSFW!

You fall into three categories in life--fans of the Merc with a mouth--non-fans and those that haven't yet heard of him.  The latter is at least forgivable, because you can ammend your vast an insolant ignorance and then become a fan if someone takes a moment to bestow the glory of Deadpool upon thee.  The second option...unforgivable.

Ol' Wade Wilson made his first appearance in the pages of New Mutants #98 back in February of 1991.  I remember when it happened.  Wow, I must be a huge comic book geek to remember such a specific event, right?  Wrong!  Well, right, but thats not the point here!  This was still the era of X -- a time when all kids worth their salt were reading Marvel X-Men related comic books -- even the often crappy spin-offs like the New Mutants!  Deadpool was brought to life by comic legends Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld and was an overnight hit with the fans.   The mixture of whimsy and violence appealed to readers and the breaking down of the proverbial "fourth wall" and communicating with the reading audience was unheard of at the time in mainstream comics.    If you come from the old school and you're a comic book geek, you probably have a special place in your mis-shaped nerdy little heart for the likes of Deadpool.

Fast forward to 2015 and we get the first trailer for the upcoming Deadpool movie in an era of Marvel film domindance--and it embodies everything that we know and love about the Merc with a Mouth!   Fingers crossed that they don't screw this one up.
